Meg and Mog BAFTA shortlisted

ASbsolutely Production’s CITV amimation hit Meg and Mog was named yesterday on the shortlist for best pre-school animation for the 10th Annual BAFTA Children’s TV and Film Awards
Meg and Mog is the massive 52 part pre-school animation series that Absolutely produced in 2003 in conjunction with Happy Life Studios in Sweden and Varga Studios in Budapest. The series was produced by Stressed Eric creator Carl Gorham and directed by Roger Mainwood and was based on the famous books of the same name by Jan Pienkowski. It features the vocal talents of Alan Bennett, Fay Ripley and Phil Cornwell. This is the first pre-school animation series that Absolutely has produced and the show is currently being broadcast on CITV.

It has been nominated for a children’s BAFTA in the pre-school category and is up against Pingu, Peppa Pig and The Koala Brothers. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday 27th November at The London Hilton Hotel. For a full list of all the catagories and nominations go to www.bafta.org
