The Very Old Pretenders
...Out Of Their Time and Out Of Their Minds
David Haig, Rebecca Front, Gordon Kennedy and Jack Docherty star in this exciting and inventive new four part comedy series coming to BBC Radio 4 this Autumn.
The series premieres 11pm on Thursday September 15th on BBC Radio 4.
Written by multi award-winning writer Carl Gorham, creator of cult TV animation show “Stressed Eric”, the series explores what happens when two Jacobite soldiers from 1745 are found alive and well in a cave in Perthshire and have to be integrated into modern Scottish society by English academic Andrew Merron.
Produced by the team behind four hugely successful series of the critically acclaimed Radio 4 comedy drama ‘Baggage’ and recent hit “Gobetweenies”, “The Very Old Pretenders” is a fresh and funny look at the way we live today.
