Absolutely Productions and The Comedy Unit are delighted to announce that members of the cast of Channel 4's hugely popular sketch show ‘Absolutely’ are reuniting once again for a full series on BBC Radio 4. After their award-winning appearance on Radio 4 show ‘Sketchorama’, Pete Baikie, Morwenna Banks, Moray Hunter, Gordon Kennedy and John Sparkes are getting together again to revisit some of their much loved sketch characters for four brand new half hour shows.
Absolutely Productions made four series of the TV sketch show and in 2012 viewers voted ‘Absolutely’ one of the most popular comedy show ever on Channel 4. The Sketchorama: Absolutely Special for BBC Radio 4 won a BBC Audio Drama Award last year in the Best Live Scripted Comedy category.
They will record the four new shows over two nights at The Oran Mor venue in Glasgow on Wednesday 5th August and Sunday 6th September and will feature new material from some of the show’s favourite characters. Calum, Denzil and Gwynedd, The Little Girl and the Stoneybridge Town Council are likely to feature as they did so memorably two years ago.
