By September 1, 2011Uncategorized

From Tommy Cooper to Jacobite Soldiers, from Russ Abbot to Rebecca Front, this month sees Absolutely Productions proudly present the very best of British writing, acting and directing talent as two new and exciting Radio Productions get their broadcast premieres across the BBC Radio Network. Writer Annie Caulfield, teams up with Russ Abbot, Harriet Walter and Allan Corduner in an event drama for Radio 3. ‘Glass Chair Chair Glass’ is a 90 minute play about Tommy Cooper meeting surrealist playwright Eugene Ionesco in Paris. On Radio 4, Stressed Eric creator Carl Gorham writes and directs The Very Old Pretenders, a four part late night sitcom, starring David Haig and Rebecca Front and featuring fellow Absolutelies Jack Docherty and Gordon Kennedy as two Jacobite soldiers found alive and well in a cave in Perthshire by an English Anthropologist who then tries to introduce them back into modern Scottish society.
